Born and raised in Turkey and educated in Ankara and Paris, Nursel was mentored by two of Turkey's foremost artists, Mehmet Güleryüz (painting, sculpture & drawing, 1995-2000) and Ayfer Karamani (ceramics, 1989-1995). A world traveler and gifted linguist, Nursel's creative and vibrant abstract style evokes a refreshing mystical, eclectic and multicultural imagery. Today, Nursel lives and works in Istanbul, Turkey with her husband and two adorable Cavaliers, Picasso & Gigi.
